Simply Put, Ideation refers to the formation of ideas or concept. Every great invention you see today was borne out of an idea yesterday.
The popular saying has always been that ideas rule the world, but then that is an obvious statement. Everything you see all round you became tangible because it was an idea in someone’s mind.
The equality of race and gender in America was the dream and message of the great Martin Luther King; every time you wear/use Giorgio Armani, Christian Dior, Mercedes, Chanchagi airlines or Dangote’s products; remember you are fulfilling and living in someone’s name-their dream and their passion. We live and operate in the world created by other people’s ideas. When you use Microsoft products, you are living within the limits of Bill Gates’ dream.
Therefore, it is an understatement to say that ideas rule the world; it is already the driving force that will define the society and systems in nation building, policy formulation and business practices, even for generations to come.
However, note that, Certain laws guide ideas. This laws are:
1. Ideas need a worthy Host: Ideas needs someone to nurture, value and appreciate her.
2. Ideas take over the life of the Host: It requires commitment. The greater your commitment to your idea, the greater the returns.
3. Ideas become you: Michael Dell is Dell, Richard Branson is Virgin Airways, Dangote is Dangote group, Steve Jobs is Apple. etc. Ideas eventually become you.
4. Ideas like to Multiply: They multiply as they are nurtured. Every idea has potential for bigness
5. Nothing is Impossible: Ideas don't understand impossibility. All you need is Faith. Faith isn't just a religious proposition, it is a virtue you require in the journey of life. You've got to believe in your ideas.
6. Ideas don't grow bigger than the mind: The bigger your capacity, the bigger your ideas. Expand your mind because, you can't accommodate a large vision with a small Mind.
7. Ideas work with Integrity: It finds it easier to multiply where there is integrity at heart.
