We live in a universe governed by laws; certain principles when lived by make principal
men and women!
Here comes the much talked about and anticipated year 2016.
The reason it will be a new year is when your results show it to be...
Overcoming the weaknesses that plagued you in 2015, setting and achieving worthwhile
goals.

One of the great laws of success is the law of Control.
The law of control simply states:
"You feel happy about yourself to the degree to which
You are in control of your own life, and you feel unhappy
to the degree to which you are not in control or are in control by external circumstances
or people."
I believe this law holds the key to the happiness of many today.
We live in a world where people do things basically to satisfy others and never to
please themselves.
A world in which someone would rather drown his own values just to measure up to
societal norms.
A world with little or no respect for personal integrity ,value system and sense of
mission.
In such a world, only those that insist on taking their lives head on and refusing to
relinquish the control
to an external force will make a lasting impact and not just coast along...

In the field of Psychology, there is the concept of Locus of Control.
This talks of where the control lies...
Based on this, we have two types, viz; External locus of control and Internal locus of
control.
The former talks of external circumstances or people such as unpaid bills, failing health,
a nagging wife, family troubles, financial crisis, peer pressure, demands from workplace,
traffic jam etc.
While the latter talks of You.
Yeah, you taking over the reins of your life and becoming the Captain and not the
Captive!
It's so easy to be dragged down the day by all manner of urgent calls and events.
Master Philosopher and motivator-Jim Rohn was right when he quipped;
'You either run your day or your day runs you!'
It's always true in all situations, you either wield your internal locus of control and feel
in charge or
relinquish your personal power to the everyday events of life.
Tony Robbins once defined Personal Power as the ability to act in any given situation of
life.
Remember, you can choose to act or react! The choice is always yours.

But I dare you to act and not react this new year, I challenge you to take your personal
power back.
Let today mark the end of blame game in your life. It's time to take 100 per cent
responsibility.
And see yourself soar to new zeniths.
The truth is you have greatness trapped on your inside.
Your life responsibility is to to set it free and serve your generation.
Where's your locus of control?
