I remember the story of a farmer in the country side who once picked an egg down the valley.
This enthused man put the egg in
the midst of his hen's eggs hoping they would all be hatched together.
Several weeks after they were
hatched, all the chicks were in the open valley playing as usual.
They would peck at small insects
and worms with their juvenile beaks.
On a fateful day while the chicks
were all out in the valley enjoying the scenery of the open valley
with Sunshine shimmering down
their feathers, there appeared this majestic bird hovering gracefully above
their heads.
Intrigue met with utter surprise
as they saw how limited they have been all the while on the ground.
However, one of the chicks felt a kind of chemistry
with the eagle bird hovering above them.
Out of curiosity and a daring
spirit it whispered to its fellows; 'I look like that bird up there, and
something tells me I can fly likewise. '
The other chicks laughed this
enstranged chick to scorn warning it, never to think that way or even dare to
fly.
On another occasion, the same opportunity presented itself again
but this time around a different response was in mind.
The eagle hovered lower than ever,
it was as if it had detected that there was something different about this
enstranged chick.
On a closer look, it was clear to
both of them that they share the same species!
Upon this discovery, the eagle
began to woo this eaglet who had found itself in the midst of the chickens all
its life.
Spurred by this sudden awareness
of his real but hidden identity, the eaglet began to flap its juvenile wings in
an attempt to launch its first flight.
After several failed attempt to lift itself n fly, the eagle screamed at the little eagle,
'you are an eagle, you are destined to fly,
why die in the midst of chickens? You don't belong here anymore,
you may have been here all your life but you
don't have to remain here any longer!'
Those words rang through the being of the eaglet turned chick and from no where it mustered all the strength it could to fly one more time.
In the full glare of all the
chicks, the eaglet having been spurred by its mother took its flight.
It was such a beautiful sight to
behold, seeing what was meant to be up in the sky, taking the boldness to be
itself.
The eaglet flew off with its
mother never to be seen again with the chicks.
May this be your experience today.
You are destined to fly why die
crawling?
Why settle for less when you can
be more?
Yours in motivation,
