Manu Garba Shares the Magical Secret Behind Flying Eagle Victory Over Korea DPR

Flying Eagles coach Manu Garba has stated that his second half pep talk was what spurred his players to go all out for victory against North Korea in their FIFA U-20 World Cup clash on Thursday.
Goals from Godwin Saviour, Isaac Success and Kingsley Sokari earned the Flying Eagles their first victory of the tournament.
In his post-match reaction, Garba said the team struggled in the first half because they did not carry out the instructions they were given.
He also praised the Koreans for giving his team a good game.
“We had a plan for what we wanted to do (in the first half) but they weren’t doing the right thing,” Garba said on the FIFA website.
“We talked to the team and in the second half they got the job done. Korea DPR have a good side, and they played much better than they did against the Hungarians, but they are lacking when it comes to finishing. It’s not all about winning, but it’s about entertaining the crowd, and that’s something that our side did.”
Reacting to the loss, Korea coach An Ye Gun, said the early goal they conceded destabilized them.
“In the second half we conceded the goal too quickly and too easily, so our players’ spirits dropped.
“The experiences we are going to gain in this tournament is a good opportunity for our development in my country, so we are preparing to do our best in the match. I would give more opportunities for the players so that they can gain more experience.”
