WORDS OF HOPE: 70 times 7 | By Olisaeloka Kingsley

A lot of Christians get tired of asking God for His forgiveness when they fall into a particular sin because they feel they have fallen into that same sin one time to manybut why should we be when He Himself never gets tired of forgiving us of that same sin! If Jesus said for us to GENUINELY forgive our brother 70 times 7 times when he GENUINELY repents 70 times 7 times then why do we feel God Almighty wouldn't do the same? There is not a single thing God has told man to do that He Himself didnt (and doesn't) do as an example unto allnot one!

(Matthew 18:21) Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
(Matthew 18:22) Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Now the danger with getting tired of repentance is that we stand the chance of slipping back unknowingly into the miry clay of Satan's condemnations and further into sin! It's the devil's lies to think God is tired of our apologiesHe never is and He never would be as long as they are GENUINE!

(1 John 1:9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Finally I believe the desire of every child is to become a mature adult, the same should be the desire of every Christian too. We shouldnt become comfortable with a lifestyle of sin because it isn't our nature anymoreit isn't! Because in all honesty if we have to sin 70 times 7 times in a day it's a clear indication we have a weakness that needs to be addressed with the utmost urgency because the devil would keep using that same avenue to hinder our lives as Christians.

(Hebrews 12:1) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us

I love and God bless you
