42-Man List Of Super- Eagle Players Called By Samson Siasia

Interim Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia has invited 42 players for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt coming up later in March, Complete Sports reported.
The returning Eagles coach announced the squad in Abuja on Thursday during a press conference.
Twenty of the invited players are based abroad, most of them the regular features under previous coaches Stephen Keshi and Sunday Oliseh.
Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi leads the regulars along with Watford’s Odion Ighalo, CSKA Moscow’s Ahmed Musa, Monaco’s Elderson Echiejile and Lazio’s Ogenyi Onazi.
Youngsters Kelechi Iheanacho of Manchester City and Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi are also in the squad, while West Ham’s Victor Moses, CSKA Moscow’s Aaron Samuel and South Africa-based goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi return.
However, there are no places for Mainz’s Leon Balogun and Oliseh favourites AS Trencin’s Rabiu Ibrahim and Sylvester Igboun based in Russia.
Chisom Chikatara, who just joined Morroco’s Wydad Casablanca, is listed as home-based.
Fanendo Adi, 25, of Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers is one of the big surprises in the list. Striker Adi scored 16 goals in 33 MLS games last season. This is first senior call-up.
The first of the two matches will be held in Kaduna on 25 March with the return billed for Alexandria four days later.
