Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo State Reappoints Actress Nkiru Sylvanus!
Actress Nkiru Sylvanus will surely be smilling to the banks right now.
You see, about a year ago, the actress who was then the Special Assistant
to the governor on Lagos Matters, was sacked after he dissolved his cabinet.
She has been reappointed as the Ag. Director General of a world class film
Academy the Imo state government is set to build.
The Imo state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha disclosed this when
members of the Imo state Chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) paid
him a courtesy call at the Government House, Owerri. He stated plans to set up
a befitting Film Academy in Owerri and that the actress has been appointed to
do an oversight functions of ensuring judicious use of finance and other logistics
for the project.
The governor further disclosed the provision of office accommodation for
Imo State AGN at the ICAPS premises, Owerri and assured them of the quick
commencement of the Film Academy.
